Heart Felt Thanks

It’s no secret that being an indie bookstore requires LOTS of dedication and belief in making a difference. We LOVE what we do and even more so when others share their appreciation of our efforts. Here’s one example that brought a smile and a big YES to our day.

A handwritten letter arrived last week. A woman from across the country wrote:

“Dear Janna, Imagine! A country dotted with oases of commerce called bookstores where browsing is welcome, and lingering is encouraged. I am writing to every independent bookseller in the US to thank each of you for helping keep communities vibrant and for modeling love of books, ideas, and stories well told. What you do is important. It matters. Kindly, EW” (Name kept private as a courtesy.)

An origami heart was enclosed with the letter. Wow. We couldn’t agree more. Thank you!
